Kinda confusing

How is it that the same folks who do not trust the (current) government to do ANYTHING good or right think that more government (with (undefined) *change*) is the answer?

Is the problem with government, or with the expectations?

As much as we (people in general) complain about how "bad" things are, America on its worst day is still SO much "better" than many other places in the world on their best days.

Even when there are legitimate problems that need to be fixed, whether you have a Republican, Democrat, or whatever, the people running things are still that--PEOPLE. All people are fallible, despite their best intentions. So, no, we can't expect the government to solve our problems, regardless of who is running it.

Sometimes I get frustrated and wish for some vague form of change ("I don't know what I want; I just know it's not THIS!"), but I just keep reminding myself that "this world is not my home, I'm just a-passin' through..."

the problem with government is politicians which promise things they have no power to deliver.

i still think someone needs to run for prez in 2012 on the platform of NO MORE B.S. and literally promise pain & discomfort for everyone as we all sacrifice to make the world a better place.
