Best idea I've heard in a LONG time
How about, rather than a $600B or $700B "stimulus" package, how about this instead? Give us a Federal Income Tax holiday long enough for the equivalent savings!
If the annual budget is $1.5 trillion, then how about a 4-5 month break from any Federal Income Tax? Isn't that equivalent? If you have to borrow (read: print) the money, then just print it for federal expenditures, and let us KEEP OUR MONEY! That way it isn't redistributed at all.
Imagine the outcry when the taxes kick back in! Can you say, "Fair Tax," boys and girls?
