Social networking
So I've taken my first step into "social networking." Not sure what I think about it yet. It is interesting. I keep getting "friends" - most of them via PBC connections. That part is cool. I don't have a sense for what it will develop into as of yet - just an experiment at this point.
Primarily, I'm doing this as a test to see if it is something we want to open up to the kids. I know I keep saying this, but - I don't know...

so, what did you do? LinkedIn? Facebook? MySpace?
Y'know, I don't call internet "Social." I tend to P155 people off when i type... heck, i tend to piss people off period. it is a rare gift.
1. they can't hear the joking sarcasm in my voice.
2. If I can't make friends in person, why would I want to "make friends" online with others who are just as socially inept as myself?
3. I don't get "online personal ads." They're online, thus, not personal... ergo point 2.
I joined Facebook - at the behest of the Superweek staff.
So did I. A while back a guy from my high school class posted some 20th reunion pictures on Facebook, so I signed up to see 'em. I now have several "friends," but I don't really get the whole deal yet. It seems harmless, and I'm half-thinking of letting the kids do it. But for now, you still have to disable our bsafe filter to get there.
