Happy 2005

So we made it through the holidays. We had a great time.

My parents came down the 23rd. I had to try to pick my sister up at the airport twice on the 24th thanks to Independence Air. Only half her luggage made it with her. (possible good news - as of this evening they think they've found it) So the 7 of us enjoyed Christmas together.

Monday the 27th my other sister and her family drove down from Cary, NC. We lost much of Tuesday getting family pictures taken. Everyone left Wednesday morning. Which was good because I spent most of Wednesday preparing for the worship time for Wednesday evening. It went very well - just scripture and songs. Simple, but very effective. Small crowd, but I guess that's to be expected.

Thursday the 30th we (the four of us) went to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. It was beautiful, especially the orchids.

Friday the 31st we went to the Booth Western Art Museum in Cartersville, GA. Really cool place, and we all loved it. New Year's Eve we watched a couple movies. The four of us watched a movie from "American Girl" about "Samantha". After the girls went to bed Natalie and I watched the first SpiderMan movie - it was very good.

So it's back to work and all that. We're in a new office space for work. Which is cool because we have more space - space enough for a combination pool/ping-pong table. So today I'm playing ping-pong and I tried to pivot on my left foot. I popped a small muscle (plantaris muscle) beneath my left calf. REALLY hurts, I'm hobbling pretty badly. No real treatment for it, though. Apparently it isn't a really important muscle functionally. It REALLY hurts, though. Did I mention it is painful? It'll be 4-6 weeks until I can BEGIN to run again, and I need to lose this holiday bulge!

Hope you and yours had a great New Year's celebration and are ready to be a blessing in 2005!
