Another Crossfit Milestone

Yesterday I did 30 muscle-ups for time. It didn't take all that long - but the point is that I conquered the intimidation factor of that workout and I DID IT! Yes, I'm a little sore this morning, but I DID IT! I also ran 4 400m sprints afterward, since I knew I would not be working out today or tomorrow.

We're returning today from Jacksonville. The break has been nice, but I think we're mostly ready to be home again. I'm looking forward to leading worship tomorrow. Tomorrow is the last Sunday of the quarter, so it will be our last time teaching the 3rd graders for a while. We're not sure yet what we'll be doing next quarter.

Please pray for safe travel for our family today. We'll be driving in rain most of the way, it appears. It's been a long time since we've driven in rain! (We're *thankful* for the rain, we're *thankful* for the rain, we're *thankful* for the rain)

My hope for our new president.

I hope his (recent) rhetoric conquers his record.

Sadly, I am forced to say (recent) because his rhetoric has been a moving target, moving steadily "centrist" from "far left." I have NO IDEA what this guy's core beliefs are - unless I give more weight to his record than his words. If that is the case, I am deeply concerned for the path we are about to head down.

I pray that I will always remember that my citizenship is in the Kingdom of God. All else is fluff. Important, but fluff nonetheless.
